The game 6 Degrees of Wikipedia game has been around for quite a few years. Its a fun way to see who the best 'searcher' in your class. Give your students a random Wikipedia page to go to i.e. Butterflies and then by ONLY using links on the page can the jump for page to page and get to another random page such as the game Monopoly. Six Degrees of Wikipedia This may or may not have come up recently due to my circumstances; I don’t think me blogging about my efforts is going to significantly improve anyone else’s chances when it comes to the moment. Find the shortest hyperlinked paths between any two pages on Wikipedia. Inspired by the concept of six degrees of separation, Six Degrees of Wikipedia traverses hyperlinks on Wikipedia to find the least number of clicks it takes to travel between any of the nearly six million pages on the world's largest free online encyclopedia.
Any 2 articles of Wikipedia can be connected by only using the links on the pages in 6 clicks or less. It's a fact, although not possible to prove.
